Un regalo para mi madre

El jueves fué el cumpleaños de mi madre y muy a mi pesar no tenía nada preparado para ese día.  Así que le dijimos que nos díjera algo que le gustaría que le comprásemos.  Al final el viernes sin tenerlo planeado y después de un día de espanto en el trabajo, compré unas asas que encontré de casualidad por la tarde, cogí las telas que tenía cortadas del lunes cuando hice el patrón y el sábado, aunque con atraso, le dí a mi madre su regalo.

Os acordaís de estas telas y de mi nueva máquina de coser.

Tenía muchas ganas de hacer un bolso parecido a los que salén en uno de los libros de Tilda. 

Son de este libro.  De aquí saqué la idea y me fijé en los dibujos de las instrucciones para sacar el patrón.  Las explicaciones del libro no están nada claras y no es porque estén en inglés.  Así que lo único que saqué fué el patrón y el resto lo hice más o menos como pude y a mi manera.



Es la segunda vez que utilizo mi máquina de coser y como ya dije lo de coser no es lo mío.  Pero lo fuí haciendo poco a poco, y aunque no estaba muy convencida que fuera a salir bien del todo, me ha gustado mucho el resultado final.  

Tengo que decir que al natural es mucho más bonito de lo que se ve en la foto.  La flor es de crochet y la hice siguiendo un tutorial de Lucy de Attic24 donde lo explica muy bien.  De hecho es la primera y única flor que hasta la fecha he hecho en crochet.

Esto es por dentro.  Me encanta lo bien que combina la tela de cuadros rojos y blanco con la tela vaquera. 

Para haberlo hecho en una tarde y con muy poquita experiencia ha salido muy bien, mucho mejor de lo que me podía imaginar.  A mi madre, por supuesto, le ha encantado.

The other day was my mother's birthday.  I didn't give her any presents at all.  I hadn't had time so I told her that we would buy her whatever she wanted.

On Friday afternoon I hadn't plann anything and I had had a horrible day at work, and just by chance I bought handles for a bag.  When I got home I took the fabrics that I had cut on Monday afternoon and began with the bag. 

For quite sometime I wanted to try and make a bag like the one in Tilda's book.  I looked at the pictures and I got the idea of how to make the pattern but I didn't follow the instructions in the book because I couldn't understand them (and it is not because they are in English). 

This is the second time I use the sewing machine and as I had said before I don't sew very well.  But I started and did it as I could and here is the result.  I am really happy with it.  In the end it came out much better than I had expected.   My mother liked it as well and she did expect something after talking with me on the phone on Friday evening, but nothing like this.

I crocheted the flower following Lucy's (from Attic24) tutorial.  She explained it so good that this is the first time I crochetet a flower and I didn't have any trouble at all.  So from this blog, thanks Lucy for your tutorials I am learning a lot from them.
