This year apart from visiting London I wanted also to make a trip to another city.  We decided to visit Bath.  I didn't expect it to be so beautiful.  I'll have to go back as we didn't have enough time to see everything.

On 30th November we took the train from London Paddington to Bath Spa.  It takes around an hour and a half to reach Bath.  We were surprise to see so much people leaving the train in Bath as it was a Wednesday morning.  Once we arrived near the Abbey we saw that there was a Christmas Market.  Very big, by the way.

After seen a bit of the Christmas Market and before seeing anything else I wanted to visit the shop "Wool" that I have found in internet.  But once we were in it street we also found "Country Threats".   I was happy.  We entered Country Threats and the shop is small but I've never seen so much fabric, jelly rolls, and all you may need to sew.  I bought a jelly roll and some fabric squares and handles for a bag.  Then we visited Wool and again I was not disappointed at all.  I wish I had more time to look everything slowly.  Anyway I bought some yarns and a crochet hook made of bambu (I think).  Both owners (I think) of both shops were incredibly grateful and nice.

After that we visited the Roman Baths.  At first we thought the price was a bit expensive but after seen all there is to see it is alright.  I liked it a lot.  It is really interesting, and why not, beautiful as well.  When we finished we were a bit hungry but after seeing the time we decided to wait to have tea in the Grand Pump Room.  Meanwhile we visited Bath Abbey.  We liked it as well.  Impressive.

I had to ask my sister for a photo of the tea we have in the Grand Pump Room.  It was quite nice, the room is like going back in time.  I loved the scones with jam and cream.  Someone was playing the piano as well.

Around 4 p.m it started to rain and it was getting dark.  We walked a bit, saw a few shops and found The Makery Emporium, which I do recommend. We got to see the Pulteney Bridge although it was alreday dark and raining when we reached it.

I would like very much to go back one day and spend a few days in Bath in order to see everything there is to see.  It is a very beautiful and charming city.
